Fall Is Coming!!

Fall is coming.....

Fall Elegance

There is evidence of it everywhere.  The leaves will be changing colors, it gets colder, and it even smells different in the fall.  With all the changes  I thought a fall mani was in order.  This one does not use all the gorgeous colors, as they are not apparent yet but still hold elegance and a touch of fall.  I hope you like this mani.

Stupidity!!!

Stupidity Gone Crazy...

I saw on YouTube before summer started about hard gels and the like.  Thought hey I have to try that, it looks like fun.  It was fun, so I tried it on myself.  Wasn't too bad, I did my two week fill, still all good.  When it was time to take it off and do it all over again, well I thought it was going well until it wasn't.

When filing it off I took to many layers off my natural nails.  I know right!! Stupid move.  I then went back to normal polish for a while just to see if that would help.  Well here we are and I decided I wanted to try my hand again.  Will I never learn.  Same thing all over again, except this time I have giant chunks out of my nail plate.  On a couple of my nails I can feel the nail bed under the nail plate it is so sore.

Needless to say I think hard gels are not for me.  I just wish I had learned my lesson the first time, why oh why did I have to do the gels the second time.  I tell ya stupidity gone crazy and I really feel stupid....oh well you live, you learn.  Well for normal people and I am far from normal.

In hopes of helping to grow out all the damage I did to my nails, I cut them right down to nothing, I literally have not had short nails like this since my childhood.  Yes you heard me I am now a proud member of the Nub Club!!!

I will however still find a way to do nail art it just may not look that clean or be too simple but I will find a way.  If you follow my blog or YouTube, or even on nailpolis  I will be showcasing my nubs as often as I can.

Well until next time, or until my stupidity gets the better of me......Have a great day and happy painting!

Pink Sponge Gradient with Double Stamping

Hey Ladies!!!!

I'm back with another nail art.  This one came about because I couldn't decide what colors I wanted.  I love pink so I thought I would think of something to use with the pink.  Then I wanted to try my hand at the double stamping overtop of one another to create a shadow.  I'm sad to say it was difficult for me and did not work the way I wanted it to.  (Most likely because I have no sense of direction, so naturally I had issues lining up the stamps properly.)

All just part of life for me. LOL.  Well I'm sure you are sick of listening to me ramble on, so lets get right to it.

Pink Sponge Gradient with Double Stamping!!

The polishes I used are I Pink I Can, Silver from bare elements, Rock My World from essence, Wild White Ways also by essence. and your fave topcoat.  Stamping polishes from MdU in cream and black.

 Base coat is just white.

So I used the sponge technique to sponge pink, silver, and grey onto my nails, this is what I got, didn't like it all that much, but hey everything always looks better in person.

Next I stamped the maze pattern in the top left of the plate, first in MdU cream and then again in MdU black.

Ta Da!!! Just topcoat and your done!!!

Enchanted Forest

Hello Everyone,

Been a long time but I finally found the time to update everything with new artwork.  I hope you like it.

I was first inspired for this one when I saw Cassis P do it.  Hers is much better of course, but I fell in love with it instantly.  I then did my own recreation.  If you would like to see the original artwork, click the link.

Eerie Moments by Cassis P

The polishes used are Babe Blue, I-Rush Luck, both from Sally Hansen and then Mundo de Unas stamping polish in cream.

The base color is Babe Blue - two coats.

First layer of stamping - the full leaf pattern on this plate. Stamped with I-Rush Luck.  Stamp on all the nails.

Next with MdU cream, stamp the deer on the middle finger, and the squirrel on the ring finger.

Finally with cream again, stamp the butterflies on the index and pinky fingers.

Last but not least, topcoat with your fave top and your done.

Nail Art World!!

Look out nail art world, here I come...

Super excited!!  been doing nail art for some time now, but I've recently been told that I should showcase or display some of my work, and since I don't like talking in front of cameras, or for cameras...this is my best option.

In the coming posts will be reviews, tutorials, or just random stuff that I do out of boredom.  Everything will be related to Nails and nail art.  Have a great day. Happy Painting!
